Luna Designs square distressed wood picture frame for the photo format DIN A3 square from South Africa

The large Luna Designs picture frames DIN A3 square from South Africa are made entirely from recycled wood. The wood for the picture frames with the classic double moulding is collected at various collection points in Cape Town and the surrounding area and brought from there to the Luna Designs farm in the Karoo semi-desert. In the dry climate of the Karoo, the wood is then stored for up to two years and finally freed from nails, screws and dirt. The staff at Luna Designs make sure that each piece of wood retains the unique patina of wear and varnish residue that makes the picture frames so special.
Back in Cape Town, the old wood strips are then turned into picture frames.

Today, Luna Designs produces picture frames in different formats. The A3 square picture frames are large, square picture frames in a classic design with two strips of recycled wood. They have space for a picture or photo in the picture size approx. 29.7 x 29.7 cm.
All Luna Designs picture frames come with 3 mm thick glass and a black and white motif. Flexible slats on the back make it possible to quickly replace them with your own black and white or coloured motifs.

As the Luna Designs picture frames are handmade, the dimensions given may vary by a few millimetres from picture frame to picture frame.
